Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - March 12, 2004: Acclaim Systems, Inc., a leading software solution and technology integration provider, held an Open House celebrating the relocation of its Harrisburg, PA office to 227 State Street.
Harrisburg's Mayor Stephen R. Reed performed the official ribbon cutting ceremony during an Open House held at 2:00 p.m. March 12, 2004 on the steps of Acclaim Systems, Inc.'s new office space, 227 State Street.
227 State Street, built in the early 1800's, was utilized predominantly as a residence until 1947 when after major renovations it became a boarding house and later, rental office space. The building then fell into disrepair and remained largely vacant until an extensive renovation project began in the fall of 2003. The renovations have made the building a comfortable structure for the 21st Century while being faithful to its rich past, maintaining a significant portion of the woodwork and marble detail throughout its 6,000 square foot area.
"As proof of Acclaim Systems' commitment to the City of Harrisburg, we are delighted to be the first tenants of a revitalized 227 State Street," said Matthew F. Carey, Director of Marketing, Acclaim Systems.
In front of over 70 clients, partners, government officials and community leaders, Mayor Stephen R. Reed proclaimed March 12, 2004 as 227 State Street Grand Opening Day. In addition, The Historic Harrisburg Association, in observance of National Historic Preservation Week, presented the Preservation Award to 227 State Street on May 6, 2004. The official Proclamation and Preservation Award are both proudly displayed in the Acclaim Systems' office. |
